Breastfeeding affirmations 

From the very first moment your baby latches on, to the last nursing session you’ll ever have, our breastfeeding journeys are all unique and beautiful. Breastfeeders of Australia, this list is for you! May you find encouragement for a struggle, or reminders to appreciate your body and your baby.

  • I make MILK, what's your superpower?

  • My body is an instrument, not just an ornament. Breastfeeding is not my purpose, but it is one of many beautiful ways I can use my body to love my child

  • Breastfeeding: love in every drop

  • My body was designed to breastfeed

  • I choose to cherish the moments I get to spend nourishing my baby

  • My baby is satisfied at my breast

  • I enjoy breastfeeding 

  • Its okay when my baby wants to nurse more often

  • However long or short my breastfeeding journey was - I have fed my baby, and no-one can take that away.

  • Breathe. Breastfeeding is my reminder, built in by nature, to sit still for 10 minutes and catch a breath. 

  • I like how it feels to know that I’m caring for my baby in this way

  • I release my expectations of what breastfeeding would be like, and I appreciate the journey that it IS
